Belle

Belle

Looking for a musical artist that combines luscious melodies and heart-felt introspective lyrics with a genuine, crystal clear voice and a perceptive social consciousness? Look no further. Australian born, New York-based singer/songwriter Belle combines all these elements in a winning presentation that speaks directly and engagingly to her audience. Tap your toe or sit back and let the generous melodies wash over you or the poignant lyrics entrance you—it’s all there, exquisitely demonstrated on her successful debut CD release, Never Too Late. Since its release in August of 2011, Never Too Late has been selected by iTunes as a “New & Noteworthy” singer/songwriter CD and played on AOL’s CD Listening Party, while garnering much enthusiastic buzz from various other music industry quarters and ecstatic fans.
“There’s an inner purity and deeper meaning to this redemptive debut that elevates it beyond others in this mainstream genre”—John Smithies for The Epoch Times
Belle’s experience and reach is truly global. While in her twenties her recognition of human rights issues was seriously heightened when she courageously traveled to Beijing to peacefully demonstrate in Tiananmen Square against the persecution of Falun Gong, for which she was subsequently arrested and deported from China. Following that harrowing event she began writing songs to raise awareness of human rights issues and working with other similar-minded musicians in Australia. Born in Mittagong, Australia, a small country town, Belle studied music from a young age and began songwriting at age sixteen as a way of dealing with her own complex teen relationships. Eschewing the mindlessness of the vacuous pop of the moment for a much more thoughtful expression, Belle brings a fresh maturity to the folk-rock scene these days with her honest lyrics that resonate from her own life experience as a lover, mother, wife, activist and business owner/entrepreneur. She expresses the real emotions and experiences that frequently confront us all at certain times in our lives, as well as advocating socially responsible contemporary issues including human rights, the environment, substance abuse, and teenage issues with a laser-like focus and perceptive awareness.
Since moving to New York City in 2009 to further her musical career and increase her involvement in human rights projects, Belle has performed at “Million Minutes of Meditation” in Washington DC; Union Square, NYC; World Falun Dafa Day, May 2011; The National Underground, NYC; CNYJazz (part of the Music Industry Conference in Syracuse, NY); Stanhope House, NJ; and WTBQ Radio Live, among many other East Coast venues. She has signed with Florida-based indie label Ingenious Records and has collaborated with producer Adrian Morales-Demori of Heiga Audio Visual; Kevin Dippold (Smashing Pumpkins/Spirits in the Sky); acclaimed drummer Sterling Campbell (David Bowie, Duran-Duran, B52’s); and multi-Grammy winner Filipe Tichauer (Christina Aguilera, Daddy Yankee) to create her well-crafted and absorbing debut CD Never Too Late.
Belle hopes to inspire constructive change in the world through her music and aspires to encourage women of all ages to have a positive self-image of their own inner and outer beauty, empowering them with confidence to deal with their own challenges in life and love. Never Too Late is a powerful statement and at the same time an exciting preview of what this talented artist is capable of.

My Amends

My Amends

Can an edgy hard-rock band resolve the paradox of its decidedly aggressive presentation and its message of balance, spiritual healing and unity? You bet!—presenting Ft. Lauderdale, Florida-based rockers My Amends. This dynamic, high-energy group is made up of five very creative, distinctive and talented individuals that form a solid seamless whole in their own original fashion. Pushing the boundaries of Post-Punk-Grunge-Hardcore, My Amends is undeniable and unforgettable both live and on disc and this becomes immediately and abundantly clear when listening to their Ingenious Records full-length debut CD release, Acceptions. Selected as an iTunes “New & Noteworthy Rock Album of the Week,” included on AOL’s “Listening Party,” chosen as Melodic.net’s “Artist of the Week,” and having “Slaves” (a single from the CD) selected as one of five featured tracks on the UK’s Zippo Encore site, Acceptions is already proving to be an extremely successful debut.
“My Amends makes no amends for their hard-driving, intensely-emotional sound and brutally honest lyrics.”—Beth Feinstein-Bartl, South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Formed in 2008 after working together individually in several different bands during the previous several years, My Amends has been performing nation-wide for, and appreciated world-wide by, enthusiastic audiences that can’t seem to get enough of these gutsy rockers. Their music has also been featured on ESPN and WWE Action Figures Web campaigns. Performing with other notable bands such as Every Time I Die, The Sleeping, Poison the Well, Vanna, and Strait Line Stitch, among others, they’ve been building a solid, exuberant fan base everywhere they appear as they continue to hone their already well developed sound. This is definitely a group for the here and now and one to watch for in the future.
“My Amends are primed to make an immediate impact on the scene with their intense and gritty debut, Acceptions.”—GetExposedMusic.com
Rather than an introspective approach, My Amends use their music as a cathartic creative outlet and take their inner emotions and project them outward in a relentless assertiveness. Coming primarily from working/middle-class backgrounds, they sometimes use their music to exorcise their own demons while alternately celebrating the simple freedoms of unabashed self-expression. As primary songwriter and lead vocalist Justin Dailey has suggested, “It’s about looking inside for strength, doing what you love and staying true to yourself, no matter what the odds.” This is true not only of Dailey’s bold vocals and lyrics, but of the sizzling and original guitars of Matt Ruffini and Devin Estep (also on background vocals), the driving locked-in bass of Danny Wyler, and the explosive yet fluid drums of Joey Calero. Not for the feint-of-heart, this is a band that makes powerful, compelling, emotional musical declarations with little regret and their own unique sense of style.
“My Amends came out of nowhere and knocked me off my feet . . .”—Alisha Kirby, likeZEBRA.com

Acceptions is a formidable musical statement that at times expresses the band’s collective angst while at the same time implicitly reflects their desire to keep up the continuing fight for non-conformity. Their CD is intense to say the least—their live show is a revelation.
